Terms of Service

By accessing or using Profitsss ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Profitsss is a web-based, multi-tenant analytics dashboard that combines data from your connected Shopify stores and Google Ads accounts to display profit-and-loss metrics. Each account is an isolated workspace: you see only your own connected stores and campaigns, and your data is never exposed to any other customer. The Service is read-only with respect to Google Ads — it reports on campaign metrics and never creates, edits, pauses, or deletes any Google Ads entity on your behalf.

2. Account & access

• You access the Service via email + password authentication. You are responsible for keeping these credentials secret.
• You are responsible for any activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@profitsss.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
• We may suspend access if we detect abuse, security risk, or violation of these Terms.

3. Connected platforms

To use Profitsss you'll connect external services (Shopify, Google Ads). You are solely responsible for:

• Having the right to grant access to those accounts
• Complying with each platform's own Terms of Service
• Maintaining the OAuth tokens and revoking them if you stop using Profitsss

Profitsss is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Shopify, Google, or any other connected platform. All product names, logos, and brands are property of their respective owners.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service
• Use the Service to violate any law or third-party rights
• Interfere with the Service's operation (DoS, automated scraping, excessive request volume)
• Connect accounts you don't own or aren't authorised to access
• Resell, sublicense, or transfer access to third parties without written permission

5. Data accuracy & "as is" disclaimer

Profitsss displays data sourced from Shopify, Google Ads, and your own inputs (COGS uploads, etc.). We make best efforts to compute metrics correctly but make no warranty that:

• Numbers exactly match the source platforms (currency conversion, rounding, sync timing windows can cause small differences)
• Profit calculations are tax-, accounting-, or investment-grade
• The Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or always available

Profitsss is not a substitute for professional accounting or financial advice. Decisions you make based on its output are your own responsibility.

6. Intellectual property

The Profitsss code, design, and content are the property of its developer. You retain ownership of all data you connect (your Shopify catalog, your Google Ads campaigns, your customer information).

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for the duration of your active account.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Profitsss and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of revenue, profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities — arising from your use of the Service.

Total cumulative liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the Service in the past 12 months (or the equivalent of 1 USD if the Service was provided free).

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by signing out and disconnecting integrations. We may terminate or suspend your access with or without cause, with or without notice, particularly in cases of suspected violation of these Terms.

On termination, we'll delete your stored data within 30 days unless we're legally required to retain it longer.

9. Changes

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be flagged in the dashboard at next sign-in. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator resides, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. For disputes that cannot be resolved by good-faith discussion, you and we agree to non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
